THE FREE HOME INSULATION GRANT
Cavity wall insulation involves filling the space between the inner and outer exterior walls. You can use a variety of materials for filling the cavity space, including urea formaldehyde expanding foam, cellulose, polystyrene beads and mineral wool or rock wool. Most of our Installers prefer to use polystyrene beads as they are much more effective and provide exceptional insulation. You’ll notice a difference in the warmth of your house straight away.
Cavity wall insulation is an effective way to keep your home warm in the winter and cool in the summer, and it can also help to reduce noise pollution. Want to find out more? Get in touch.

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED HERE
What is ECO4 Scheme?
ECO4 is a long-term and comprehensive scheme spanning over four years from 1st April 2022 to 31st March 2026. The primary aim of the ECO4 initiative is to enhance the energy efficiency of the least energy-efficient housing that low-income and vulnerable households currently occupy, thus simultaneously reducing the energy consumption and alleviating the residents’ financial burden. By providing sustainable and affordable solutions, ECO4 aims to create a more resilient and self-sufficient community, while also contributing to the global goal of mitigating climate change.
Who is funding the ECO4 Scheme?
Funding for your home energy improvements is paid for by leading energy companies such as British Gas, SSE, Scottish Power, and N-Power. These energy companies work in partnership with the government to deliver these improvements. They have a quota to fulfill for improving the energy performance of UK homes and could face substantial fines if targets are not met. To avoid these fines, they offer funding to homeowners who want to make their homes more energy-efficient.The goal is to reduce the average fuel consumption of UK households by making heat production cheaper (through new boilers) and heat retention more efficient (with insulation). This benefits both homeowners in terms of lower energy bills and the government’s goal of reducing carbon emissions. The funds for these improvements come from the profits of companies to which we all contribute monthly through our energy bills. This is why it is important to choose an energy supplier that has a commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency.
This funding is not provided by the government in the same way as programs such as Universal Credit..
Instead, it is a proactive initiative taken by energy companies to reduce carbon emissions and fulfill their obligations to the government.
